Building Community Strength

North10 End of Year Letter | December 19, 2025 | 5 min. Read

Dear Friends,

This year, North10, Philadelphia embodied a powerful new theme: Together We Thrive. What began as one man’s vision to uplift the Hunting Park-East Tioga community and help local kids prosper has grown into a thriving, resident-driven movement for neighborhood transformation. At the heart of that movement is you—our partners, supporters, and neighbors.

The past year was marked by milestones that demonstrate what is possible for the entire City of Philadelphia when neighbors align around a shared commitment to equity, opportunity, and dignity for all. That shared commitment translated into securing the funding to build a culturally comprehensive health center for our community at Carman Gardens; a bold investment in community wellness, sustainability, and long-term impact.

We continued to build a cradle-to-career ecosystem that centers on education, health, and economic mobility. Through expanded out-of-school time, health/wellness initiatives, adult learning, and workforce development programs at the Impact Center. We are working to ensure that every resident has access to meaningful educational career paths, dignified housing, healthy foods, social services, and safe green public spaces. These aren’t just localized projects or programs—they are building blocks of a thriving resident-driven community input, rooted in collective action. Our work is spearheaded by collaboration to address systemic challenges.

In May, our Second Annual Spring Gala gathered supporters, civic leaders, and neighbors to celebrate the momentum we’ve built. Together, we honored Congressman Brendan Boyle, Keith Davis, and Jada Dove, alongside Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie, recognizing the resilience and brilliance of the community. We recommitted ourselves to a shared future of equity and opportunity.

This spirit continues to carry us through current events.

As we look ahead, we know that sustainable change cannot be achieved in isolation. The progress we’ve made this year—like every success we’ve shared over the years—has only been possible through trust, partnership, and collaboration. Together, we don’t just survive adversity—we thrive beyond it.

Thank you for being part of this journey. With your continued support, North10, Philadelphia will keep advancing our vision of a vibrant, thriving, and healthy neighborhood—now and for generations to come.

With gratitude,
